The Research and Development Analyst for Trust and Safety Monetization at Google is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Google's ad ecosystem by identifying and mitigating risks associated with fraud and abuse. This role involves analyzing data to discover trends and providing actionable insights to improve defenses against bad actors. The team focuses on building a trusted ads ecosystem that benefits creators, publishers, advertisers, and users alike. Collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams is essential to enhance ad traffic infrastructure and implement efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends and generating summary statistics.
- 2 years of experience with statistical and quantitative modeling or fraud and risk management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and investigations using various data sources to identify and defend against fraud and abuse.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to improve ad traffic infrastructure and defense systems.
- Drive full lifecycle projects across product, engineering, and trust and safety teams to prevent abuse.
- Collaborate with global teammates to deliver projects in a timely manner.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements through advanced machine learning techniques and automation.
