Job description

The Senior Analyst role at Boston Consulting Group focuses on Infrastructure, Transport, and City Development within the Public Sector Economic Affairs team. This position involves working on construction and infrastructure project delivery, emphasizing financing, cost optimization, and resilience in public infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders to enhance large-scale infrastructure systems. Analysts will leverage their expertise to drive impactful outcomes for clients while contributing to business development and knowledge building.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience working with or on several large, capital intensive, infrastructure construction projects.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant infrastructure project delivery required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal government security clearance are necessary.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with government systems and processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a global team on active client engagements, applying subject matter expertise and BCG Vantage assets to drive strong outcomes.
  • Partner with business leaders to shape and win new work, contributing to proposals and client workshops.
  • Develop intellectual property and assets for the topic area, and support the onboarding and training of junior colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with case teams and clients in a credible and confident manner.
  • Collaborate and work effectively in a group dynamic, often in virtual settings.
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity while proposing innovative ideas.
