Job description
The Instrument and Controls Engineering Professional role at Jacobs focuses on delivering instrumentation and control design for utility scale power projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of design, consulting, or operations experience.
- Experience in instrument specification, PLC or DCS control systems, and P&ID development.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specifications and drawings for control systems.
- Perform startup and commissioning activities for control systems.
- Specify instrumentation such as pressure and flow transmitters and control valves.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on large design projects.
- Drive ownership of health and safety in all aspects of project execution.
