Job description
Qualcomm's Mobile Computer Vision and AI Systems Architecture Team is seeking candidates to develop next-generation mobile computer vision and deep learning solutions. The role focuses on hardware-aware algorithm design, deep learning engine architecture, and accelerator development for mobile workloads. Ideal candidates will have expertise in translating computer vision and neural network algorithms into efficient implementations on heterogeneous platforms. The position involves driving architecture definition for deep learning engines and computer vision accelerators to maximize performance-per-watt.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- Multiple years of experience developing mobile computer vision and AI systems.
- Deep knowledge of modern neural network architectures, including CNNs and Transformers.
- Experience architecting and optimizing deep learning engines or AI accelerators for computer vision workloads.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python with hands-on experience in algorithm prototyping.
Responsibilities
- Study state-of-the-art computer vision and deep learning models and define efficient mappings onto mobile AI accelerators.
- Drive architecture development for hardware-aware deep learning engines, including support for emerging neural network operators.
- Analyze neural network workloads and identify architectural enhancements to improve performance and power efficiency.
- Define HW/SW partitioning strategies across various processing units.
- Collaborate with hardware architects to define next-generation AI engine features based on evolving workloads.
