Job description

The Senior Reliability Engineer will be part of the Annapurna AI Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability Team within AWS Annapurna Labs, focusing on machine learning products and infrastructure technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and external partners to enhance product reliability and drive manufacturing process improvements. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in reliability statistics and computer systems to influence design and mitigate risks. The position also includes providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering.
  • 7+ years of Reliability Engineering work experience with server compute platforms or high-tech hardware.
  • Experience in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
  • Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up.
  • Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working with global teams and diverse partners.
  • Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to uncover systemic issues prior to NPI.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals.
  • Ability to influence development teams, procurement, and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the test validation of future technologies.
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements to address reliability issues and concerns.
  • Drive component qualification and vendor reliability requirements.
  • Lead identifying and validating product/component risks and work with design teams to mitigate them.
  • Define the test methodology and test coverage to assure product reliability.
  • Deep-dive in technologies aligned with product roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.
  • Perform reliability prediction of failure mechanisms, products under development, and products in the field.
  • Monitor component specific manufacturing quality trends and escalate issues.
  • Lead failure analysis for component quality and reliability related issues and field failures.
