Job description
As a Derivatives Product Line Controller at Goldman Sachs, you will focus on derivatives products and oversee the reporting process for external filings. Your role involves managing data from various sources to ensure accurate reporting while implementing necessary controls and reviews. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the firm, including Product Controllers and Financial Reporting teams. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of regulatory and GAAP standards.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience with a strong accounting background preferred
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with high proficiency in Microsoft software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated energy, focus, drive, and a sense of urgency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and operate within deadlines
- Well-versed in US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting standards
- Experience with SEC or Federal Reserve regulatory reporting is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of derivatives related regulatory and U.S. GAAP external disclosures.
- Document and perform control procedures such as reconciliations and variance analytics.
- Partner with stakeholders across the firm including Product Controllers and Financial Reporting.
- Participate in various derivatives related projects focused on automation and workflow enhancements.
- Perform ad hoc analyses for internal and external reporting purposes.
