Qualcomm is seeking a highly motivated Staff Engineer to join the Ambient Perception Platform team, which focuses on developing intelligent, low-power, context-aware experiences for edge devices. The role involves leading the architecture and evolution of next-generation frameworks and systems that enhance AI experiences across various platforms. You will collaborate with a world-class team of engineers to deliver innovative solutions that understand user intent and environmental context. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 8–12+ years of combined software architecture, embedded systems development, and platform integration experience is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python are required.
• Experience developing software on ARM-based and heterogeneous SoC architectures is preferred.

• Lead the architecture and evolution of next-generation Ambient Perception frameworks and context awareness engines.
• Develop multimodal data collection systems and secure data delivery and storage architectures.
• Influence the software architecture that powers future AI assistants and proactive experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient solutions across Qualcomm's product portfolio.
• Optimize low-power AI runtime platforms for edge devices.
