Job description
The System Experience Test Engineering team at Apple is seeking a dedicated software engineer to ensure the quality of Apple's iconic operating systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or two years of directly related work experience.
- Three years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience writing code in Swift or Objective C to test an API, SDK, or Frameworks.
- Experience writing and triaging automated software tests, including unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, and stress tests.
- Experience in developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports.
- Experience in driving development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure.
- Experience with XCTest and Xcode.
- Detail oriented, analytical, and a creative problem solver with a passion for quality processes.
- Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution.
- Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action.
Responsibilities
- Work on a multi-functional team responsible for testing Apple's operating systems.
- Ensure the quality of software through continuous integration testing.
- Conduct a mix of manual testing supplemented by automated suites.
- Focus on larger projects while paying attention to small UI details.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, project managers, and other quality teams.
