Job description
AWS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Mechanical Products & Services team, which focuses on the design and continuous improvement of Mechanical Cooling infrastructure products for data centers. This role involves collaborating with a global engineering team to ensure product reliability and performance throughout its lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering, particularly with cooling systems. This position offers the opportunity to engage in innovative projects that support AWS's mission to provide exceptional cloud services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience developing Mechanical and/or Mechanical Cooling Products and launching them into production.
- 6+ years of project experience with cooling systems or components.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and related systems.
- Knowledge of critical data center or mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Mechanical infrastructure support to AWS data centers.
- Collaborate with the product development team to understand product facets during development and testing.
- Support Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to design product improvements.
- Contribute to a cycle of continuous improvement at a global scale.
