The Machine Learning Acceleration (MLA) team is seeking an experienced SoC Power Engineer to contribute to the development of Inferentia and Trainium SoCs for AI workloads. This role involves modeling and estimating power consumption throughout the design process, from RTL to final netlist. The engineer will work closely with architects, designers, and verification engineers to establish best practices for power reduction. The position requires a strong background in power analysis and the ability to provide actionable feedback to design teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 4 years of experience with a BS, 2 years with an MS, or 1 year with a PhD in EE/CS.
• Experience with power analysis tools like PrimePower or PowerArtist.
• Circuit-level understanding of chip power.
• Proficient with scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
• Good understanding of Physical Design, EM/IR, Power Integrity, and Thermal aspects.

• Conduct full chip power analysis and modeling at various design stages.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for power rollups.
• Collaborate with designers and architects to create vectors for IR and Thermal analysis.
• Provide feedback to designers on methods to reduce power consumption.
• Perform power measurements in the lab and correlate results with simulations.
• Work with Emulation engineers to model chip-level power consumption.
