Job description
The Lead Generative AI Developer will join the COO Technology Division in New York, focusing on architecting and developing Generative AI and Large Language Model solutions. This hands-on engineering role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade AI capabilities. The position emphasizes building end-to-end AI pipelines and integrating advanced models for financial use cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for applied AI research.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years focused on Generative AI / LLM application development.
- Expert-level Python proficiency, including async programming and API development.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Experience integrating with LLM APIs like OpenAI and Google Vertex AI.
- Solid grounding in machine learning fundamentals and familiarity with model evaluation and fine-tuning.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider, particularly managed AI/ML services.
- Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end Generative AI pipelines including LLM integrations.
- Develop robust, scalable, and production-ready Python services and APIs.
- Evaluate, integrate, and fine-tune LLMs for domain-specific financial use cases.
- Build and maintain ML/GenAI deployment pipelines using modern MLOps practices.
- Design and implement multi-agent orchestration frameworks for complex operational workflows.
- Collaborate with AI Risk and Compliance teams to ensure AI solutions align with regulatory requirements.
- Design and optimize data pipelines feeding AI systems.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to GenAI standards across the organization.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical AI solutions.
