Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a product manager for its AI Factory SDN team, which focuses on building an open-source networking stack for AI applications. The role involves collaborating with engineering, ISV, and cloud partners to develop and steer the SDN stack, ensuring alignment with community contributions and NVIDIA's releases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical product management within networking and will be responsible for defining product strategy and guiding upstream development. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the evolving landscape of AI and networking.
Requirements
- 12+ years in technical product management, grounded in networking, SDN, data center networking, or cloud network infrastructure.
- A background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Depth in network fundamentals including overlays/underlays, VRF, VxLAN, BGP/EVPN, ACLs, NAT, routing, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with OVN/OVS and how logical networking maps to a hardware-offloaded data plane on a DPU or SmartNIC.
- Comfort with Kubernetes as a networking delivery surface, including the CNI model and CRDs.
Responsibilities
- Set the product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for AI Factory SDN open-source projects.
- Guide upstream development across OVN, OVS, and OVN-Kubernetes by identifying which features should land upstream.
- Define requirements and priorities while making trade-off calls to keep the roadmap focused and shippable.
- Surface key product and architecture decisions and resolve them with engineering partners.
- Map dependencies across internal DPU, fabric, and virtualization teams and upstream releases, flagging risks early.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
