Job description

As a Yield Analysis Engineer at Intel, you will be integral in addressing yield and reliability challenges to uphold product standards. You will analyze complex test data and conduct failure analysis to enhance manufacturing processes. Your contributions will directly impact product quality and operational efficiency within Intel's manufacturing and product engineering organization. This team is dedicated to optimizing semiconductor production processes and driving innovation across various industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related STEM field and 4+ years relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in a related field.
  • Background in yield analysis, failure analysis, or process integration in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience with statistics and data analytics, including yield modeling, SPC, DOE, and correlation analysis.
  • Familiarity with wafer sort testing, defect metrology, E test, and/or fab data systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct yield analysis and failure investigations to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Analyze end-of-line test data, process parameters, and electrical measurements using statistical tools.
  • Develop and implement advanced characterization and analysis techniques to enhance failure analysis efforts.
  • Perform electrical failure analysis to address complex yield limiters across product development and manufacturing phases.
  • Collaborate across teams to segment issues related to process, test marginalities, and product operation.
  • Support process and defect characterization while developing innovative techniques for failure identification.
