The Mechanical Controls Engineer will join the Data Center Engineering team at AWS, focusing on the operational integrity and reliability of critical data center infrastructure systems. • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

• Operate and maintain critical data center infrastructure including electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
• Perform root cause analysis on infrastructure failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all data center critical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and construction teams to support capacity delivery and infrastructure improvements.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency operating procedures (EOPs) for infrastructure systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety across the data center portfolio.
• Support commissioning and validation activities for new infrastructure deployments and upgrades.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
