The Semiconductor Senior Equipment Engineer at Amazon CQC is responsible for developing, sustaining, and optimizing advanced semiconductor R&D equipment and processes. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including process development engineering, supply chain, and R&D stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in a specific area of semiconductor technology and a willingness to learn across various domains. The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of superconducting process technology in a fast-paced R&D environment.

• AS/BS in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
• 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or with high precision equipment applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Experience with project management of technical projects.
• Knowledge of equipment cleanliness and safety standards such as ISO, CE, UL, SEMI, NFPA.
• Experience with tools and systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems.
• Knowledge of diverse MHS, industrial mechanical and electrical systems and automation.

• Sustain semiconductor R&D operations by quickly resolving equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Lead improvement projects to enhance R&D throughput and process development cycles.
• Develop and improve equipment validation procedures for semiconductor R&D tools.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
• Create and implement preventative and predictive maintenance documents and schedules.
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
• Interface with equipment communication protocols and collaborate on recipe development.
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
