Job description
The role involves final verification of systems at the US factory to ensure performance meets specifications and on-time delivery according to the production schedule. The team focuses on debugging and resolving production issues while collaborating with engineering teams in Europe. Candidates will work on optimizing bill of materials, procedures, and tool configurations to enhance cost-effectiveness and scalability. This position is part of KLA's Optical Metrology Division, which is renowned for its advanced metrology and inspection products.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or a master's level degree with 3 years of related work experience.
- Strong background in engineering or the physical sciences with demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical understanding and communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience constructing and aligning complex mechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel to Europe for training.
Responsibilities
- Complete final verification of systems at the US factory to ensure performance is according to specifications.
- Debug and resolve production issues by establishing root causes and developing plans of action.
- Guide manufacturing teams in the execution of plans of action and standardize solutions to improve design and procedures.
- Interface with the engineering team in Europe on escalation cases and provide final sign-off on tool shipments.
- Optimize bill of materials, procedures, and tool configurations to improve cost, availability, and scalability.
