Job description
Join Goldman Sachs' Digital Assets Engineering team as a Vice President-level Senior Software Engineer, focusing on building institutional-grade tokenization capabilities across Global Markets and Banking. The team is dedicated to developing scalable, secure, and interoperable digital-asset products and workflows. You will work with Canton/Daml and EVM-based blockchain ecosystems, translating complex requirements into robust production platforms. This role requires expertise in multi-chain architecture and smart-contract engineering, particularly in financial services.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering production tokenization systems and smart contracts within a regulated enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in EVM and Solidity smart-contract engineering, including token standards and lifecycle design.
- Demonstrable experience with multi-chain and interoperability architecture, including cross-chain messaging and asset-transfer architectures.
- Strong capital-markets and tokenization domain expertise across relevant asset classes such as securitized products and digital cash.
- Strong event-driven, API-first, enterprise architecture experience using Java and/or TypeScript.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement production-grade smart contracts and tokenization services across blockchain environments.
- Design and deliver multi-chain tokenization workflows for various use cases, incorporating on-ledger contracts and off-ledger services.
- Model and implement end-to-end asset lifecycles, including issuance, registry, custody, and reporting.
- Establish and promote engineering standards for multi-chain smart-contract design and secure software delivery.
- Evaluate blockchain protocols and interoperability frameworks for their suitability in institutional tokenization products.
Benefits
- Employees at Goldman Sachs are often offered comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability coverage, generous vacation and holidays, and robust wellness resources such as EAP counseling, medical advocacy, on-site/virtual health services, and fitness support. Financial perks typically include retirement savings programs, live financial education, education support, and wealth-creation opportunities through equity awards and select investment programs. Many locations also provide family benefits (childcare resources, parental and family leaves, adoption/surrogacy support) and flexible work options like part-time schedules, job sharing, telecommuting, and alternate hours.
