Job description

The Entry-Level Structural Engineer position at Jacobs is designed for recent graduates looking to start their careers in structural engineering. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ideally, a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification is preferred
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design under close supervision.
  • Develop judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control in your work.

  • Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner while ensuring strong attention to detail.
  • Reach out to peers and senior engineers for guidance when needed.
