Job description
Arcadis is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join the Resilience Water team, focusing on designing and delivering critical infrastructure for safe and reliable water services. This hybrid position can be based in Ohio or Detroit, Michigan. The role involves collaborating with industry-leading engineers and project managers on municipal water and wastewater projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
- EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities.
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems.
- Prepare engineering deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, specifications, plans, and design calculations.
- Perform power system analyses and technical studies to support facility operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Support construction activities through submittal reviews, responses to RFIs, field investigations, and startup/commissioning support.
- Participate in client interactions, technical discussions, and proposal development.
