Job description

The Associate Test Engineer will be involved in testing new technologies within the Global Operations team at KLA. This role focuses on performing set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of various electronic systems. The team emphasizes collaboration and continuous learning while working on cutting-edge technology. Candidates should be prepared to work in a clean room environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in electrical and optomechanical systems level testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements.
  • Hands-on experience using Oscilloscopes and DVM analysis tools.
  • Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems and complete rework as necessary.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues.
  • Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction and general instructions on new assignments.
