Job description
The Human Factors team at Apple is seeking an experienced human factors engineer/researcher to enhance health product development through user-centered design principles. This role involves conducting research to understand user needs and informing the design of health features across various products like Apple Watch and iPhone. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and clinicians to align on research priorities. Success in this position requires a blend of scientific expertise and the ability to translate complex user experience challenges into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on human factors, industrial engineering, cognitive psychology, biomechanics, experimental psychology, or human-computer interaction.
- 3 years of relevant research work experience managing human factors projects.
- Expertise in creating rigorous experimental designs and conducting usability studies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Master's or doctorate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 5 years of relevant work experience managing projects and driving research programs.
Responsibilities
- Scope and execute research to uncover insights that inform health product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and align on research priorities.
- Conduct usability studies and apply mixed methods research approaches.
- Translate complex user experience problems into well-designed research efforts.
