Job description
The Darwin Runtime team at Apple is seeking enthusiastic engineers to develop low-level system technologies for Apple's operating systems. This role focuses on building foundational technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, secure inter-process communication systems, and memory allocators. The team operates at the intersection of operating systems, programming language design, and systems security. Candidates will engage in design discussions and collaborate closely with kernel engineers and security architects to innovate and enhance Apple's computing platforms.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- 0-3+ years of relevant industry experience in low-level systems programming
- Fluency in the C programming language
- Experience with UNIX-like systems
- Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals like threading, synchronization primitives, and inter-process communication
- Knowledge of operating system implementation, hardware architecture, and assembly programming
