Apple's AI & Data Platform (AiDP) Data Services organization is looking for a Software Engineer focused on data analytics and search services. The team is responsible for building data processing platforms and developing tooling for critical internet services at scale. This role will involve supporting data processing and migration efforts across hybrid-cloud environments while adhering to regulatory requirements. Engineers will collaborate with infrastructure teams and contribute to the adoption of generative AI across Apple.

• 3+ years of experience in the data analytics and/or data search space.
• Experience and knowledge of Java or Python programming languages.
• Hands-on production experience with technologies such as Solar, Elastic Search, Iceberg, ClickHouse, Doris, or Couchbase.
• Exposure to running infrastructure with reliance on automation tooling across Datacenter and Cloud architectures.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related work experience.
• Some operational experience with stateful services on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability concepts, backup, and disaster recovery practices for OLTP/distributed-SQL engines.

• Build data analytics and search capabilities including provisioning, backup/restore, and observability.
• Support data processing and migration efforts across hybrid-cloud environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and colleagues across a distributed team.
• Assist with cross-cloud and hybrid-cloud data migrations for transactional systems.
• Contribute to open-source database projects or internal data-platform tooling.
