Job description
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will join Apple's CoreOS organization, specifically the Darwin Ecosystem Quality Engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of features and projects across various system components, including userspace runtimes and concurrency libraries. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to define test strategies, develop automation, and deliver quality signals for complex systems. A strong technical background and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of the fundamentals of operating systems and UNIX.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C and Python.
- Experience developing automated tests and test infrastructure.
- Skilled in testing methodologies, test planning, and defining validation strategies.
- Excellent collaborative skills with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using a debugger (e.g., LLDB) to diagnose low-level failures across userspace/kernel boundaries.
