As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) on the Security Platform team at Twitch, you will design, build, and operate critical services that enhance security, privacy, and compliance programs. This role involves working at the intersection of software engineering and security, contributing to production systems that manage large-scale security telemetry. You will own projects from design through deployment and operational support, addressing various security challenges. The team is focused on empowering live communities and ensuring operational excellence across Twitch's security landscape.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years building and operating production backend services with end-to-end ownership.
• Deep fluency in a modern programming language such as Go, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including designing, deploying, and operating production services.
• Strong cross-team communication skills and the ability to lead technical projects.

• Own and deliver well-scoped software projects from design through production support.
• Partner across Security, Identity, Privacy, and Infrastructure on Twitch-wide initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence for critical systems, focusing on observability and reliability.
