Job description

This role involves working on innovative foundational research in machine learning at Apple. Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in machine learning research.
  • Publication record in relevant conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP.
  • Hands-on experience working with deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch.
  • Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics.
  • PhD or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Ability to formulate a research problem and communicate solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with researchers to propose a research plan to advance understanding of machine learning.
  • Execute research plans through implementation and experimentation.
  • Publish research results in top tier conferences and journal venues.
  • Ensure research results are reproducible and of high quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and prepare technical reports for publication and conference talks.
  • Collaborate with broader teams across Apple.
