As a Senior Systems Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will play a crucial role in the design and optimization of phased array antenna systems aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the successful implementation of advanced antenna technologies. Your work will involve extensive simulation, measurement, and calibration processes. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in the aerospace or semiconductor industries.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.
• BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theory
• 7+ years of work experience in Aerospace, Semiconductor, or Consumer Electronics industry
• Experience with lab test equipment like VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes
• Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, and RF system design
• Experience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS, or LabView
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of work experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience
• Experience working with phased arrays, calibration, and antenna measurement
• Good understanding of modern wireless technologies such as OFDM and MIMO
• Familiarity with basics of probability and estimation theory

• Design and implement phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms
• Conduct performance analysis and design trade-off studies of phased arrays
• Perform end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of baseband, RF, and antenna systems
• Conduct lab measurement and validation of performance for antennas and phased array systems
• Collaborate with antenna, modem, RF, and digital teams to simulate, measure, and fine-tune radio designs
