Job description

The role is for a Front End Engineer within the AWS Solutions organization, focusing on developing innovative technology solutions for Amazon Connect, an AI-powered customer experience platform. The team is dedicated to solving complex engineering challenges and creating modern contact centers in the cloud. Engineers will work closely with senior technical leaders and have the opportunity to influence the product's direction. The position emphasizes a collaborative and inclusive work environment while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodology.
  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.

Responsibilities

  • Own code end-to-end from design to development.
  • Work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS.
  • Participate in bi-weekly sprint planning and daily standups.
  • Contribute feature code and conduct code reviews for teammates.
  • Schedule and participate in project meetings and reviews with UX, PM, and Engineering stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
