In this role, you will influence all aspects of acoustics and sound mitigation for mechanical design, construction, operations, and maintenance of AWS global data centers. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure compliance with local ordinances and improve acoustical design standards. The position requires you to provide high-quality acoustic engineering advice on various global projects while coordinating with construction and commissioning teams. You will be part of a global team dedicated to changing the world through technology.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.

• Drive improvement of acoustic design standards and project approaches across the organization.
• Work with third-party design vendors to review concept designs and ensure compliance with acoustic design standards.
• Provide high-quality acoustic engineering advice on a wide variety of projects globally.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to address requests for information.
• Prepare construction documents, ensure code compliance, and meet with authorities to secure approval of acoustical features.
