As a Senior Constructability Engineer at AWS, you will play a crucial role in the entire project process, from site selection to operations. You will serve as a liaison between Design Engineering and other teams, providing practical engineering support. The position requires a strong understanding of design and construction processes to identify and resolve delivery issues. You will work within a diverse team to drive standards and improvements in design documentation and construction practices.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

• Work closely with the Global Constructability team and the global Construction Management teams to ensure consistency of approach.
• Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation.
• Drive commissionability improvements in designs.
• Drive process improvements in the hand off from design to construction and commissioning.
• Optimize engineering input post design completion by driving consistent roles and responsibilities.
• Act as the initial point of escalation for complex constructability issues.
• Travel regionally up to 25%, sometimes unplanned.
