This role is for an expert wireless systems engineer on Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through system modeling and simulations. The team is dedicated to enhancing the performance of Apple devices in various radio environments using advanced simulation platforms. The engineer will work on modeling network protocols and analyzing the interactions of different wireless technologies. • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong and deep understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications
• Strong understanding of wireless channel propagation and RF design
• Experience with transceiver algorithm design
• Solid understanding of test-driven and API-driven development methodologies
• Skilled in software languages such as C/C++/Python
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience with wireless simulation
• Deep knowledge of wireless systems and protocols such as Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and networking protocols like TCP/IP
• Knowledge of event-driven simulations
• Familiarity with version control tools
• Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
• PhD is preferred

• Model the network protocols and analyze the effects of the wireless channel and RF interactions of different wireless technologies in the simulation platform.
• Provide reference simulations and conduct specific studies using the simulation platform.
• Collaborate with the platform architecture team to enhance wireless technology development.
• Utilize sophisticated simulation platforms to study device performance in complex radio and network conditions.
