Job description
This role is for an expert wireless systems engineer on Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through system modeling and simulations. The team is dedicated to enhancing the performance of Apple devices in various radio environments using advanced simulation platforms. The engineer will work on modeling network protocols and analyzing the interactions of different wireless technologies. Requirements
- BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong understanding of wireless communications fundamentals
- Experience with transceiver algorithm design
- Solid understanding of test-driven and API-driven development methodologies
- Proficiency in software languages such as C/C++ and Python
- Deep knowledge of wireless systems and protocols including Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth
- Familiarity with version control tools
- Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
- PhD is preferred
Responsibilities
- Model network protocols and analyze the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions
- Conduct simulations and studies using the simulation platform
- Provide reference simulations for various wireless technologies
- Collaborate with the platform architecture team to enhance wireless technology performance
