Job description
In this role, you will be a key member of Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through system modeling and simulations. You will leverage your expertise in wireless systems to enhance the performance of Apple devices in complex radio environments. The position requires a deep understanding of wireless protocol interactions and the ability to model network protocols effectively. You will also conduct studies using a sophisticated simulation platform to provide insights into wireless channel effects and RF interactions.
Requirements
- BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong understanding of wireless communications fundamentals
- Experience with transceiver algorithm design
- Proficiency in software languages such as C/C++/Python
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep knowledge of wireless systems and protocols including Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth
- Familiarity with version control tools
- Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
- PhD is preferred
Responsibilities
- Model network protocols and analyze the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions
- Conduct simulations and provide reference studies using the simulation platform
- Collaborate with the platform architecture team to develop wireless technologies
- Utilize a sophisticated simulation platform to study device performance in various radio conditions
- Ensure a strong understanding of interactions across different layers of wireless protocols
