- 12+ years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in production-scale final assembly environments for complex electromechanical products.
- Demonstrated success leading commissioning, startup, and production ramp-up of integrated assembly operations.
- Deep expertise in automated assembly, including joining, conveyance, and automated assembly systems.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred).
- Master's degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred.
- Experience with electromechanical assembly, automation programming, and high-precision automated processes.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end manufacturing line concept, design, and requirements.
- Oversee detailed design of new manufacturing equipment and manage the vendor selection process.
- Lead and manage project scope from concept through production launch.
- Drive production readiness and operational performance metrics during launch and ramp-up phases.
- Partner with product design teams to incorporate DFM considerations.
- Establish and standardize production processes and operational documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Mentor and develop peers and junior engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Benefits
- Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
