Job description

Intel Foundry is looking for Thin Films Metals Module Development Engineers to join their Technology Development organization. This role focuses on advancing process development for high-k/metal gate, contact, and interconnect applications. Engineers will be responsible for metals process definition, development, and optimization in metal deposition modules. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance semiconductor technologies and improve yield.

Requirements

  • PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related STEM field
  • At least 1+ years of experience in thin film deposition technologies such as ALD, CVD, PVD, sputtering, evaporation, or electrochemical deposition
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze process data using statistical methods and structured troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Own thin film metal deposition process development across various platforms
  • Design, implement, and optimize processes to meet specifications for materials and device performance
  • Execute and analyze experiments to support rapid yield improvement
  • Apply expert knowledge of equipment operating principles and materials characterization
  • Support novel material and process screening and evaluation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including process integration and device engineering
  • Contribute to process pathfinding efforts for next-generation semiconductor technologies
