Job description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer for Cooling System Modular Design will lead the design and deployment of innovative cooling technologies for Google's data centers. The engineer will utilize advanced software tools for thermal analysis and collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
- Experience using software tools for thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or hydraulic modeling.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop technical project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for global mechanical infrastructure and design custom cooling components.
- Implement offsite modular construction and pre-fabrication strategies to improve scalability.
- Conduct detailed thermal analysis and hydraulic modeling of air and waterside systems.
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, and Execution teams to optimize mechanical systems.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive engineering project packages, including specifications and test plans.
