Job description

The Senior Software Engineer role at Goldman Sachs focuses on the development of the Consolidated Trade Ledger (CTL), a cloud-native platform that redefines the architecture for Equities Trading. Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience in Java, preferably Java 17 or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, including the ability to govern AI agents and assess their output.
  • Experience building event-driven and distributed systems, with familiarity in messaging platforms like Apache Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC practices, including version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid testing discipline with experience in unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region, cloud-native services with security and observability integrated.
  • Develop event-driven architectures and optimized data paths for trade lifecycle management.
  • Partner with engineers and stakeholders to model and digitize business processes, driving modernization.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of software components from requirements analysis to release.
  • Innovate solutions to complex business and technical problems, creating reusable capabilities.
