Job description

The Senior Consultant role in the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS) Health team at EY focuses on delivering innovative actuarial solutions to health insurance and managed care companies. This position involves leading engagement teams, working directly with clients, and mentoring junior colleagues. The team emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and the integration of AI and automation in actuarial work. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in an actuarial position.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), actively pursuing Fellowship (FSA) with a technical emphasis on Group and Health Insurance.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Excel, SAS, VBA and/or C++.
  • A proven ability to manage time across multiple, often shifting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement teams and deliver work such as claim liability estimation and assumption setting.
  • Provide actuarial opinion and regulatory services.
  • Redesign actuarial processes and integrate software solutions.
  • Deliver data visualization and ad hoc financial reporting advice.
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues while reimagining health actuarial work using AI and automation.
