Job description

As an Electrical Engineer at Arcadis, you will lead the electrical discipline for multiple data center projects throughout various phases including design and construction. You will be responsible for guiding design efforts and mentoring junior engineers in data center electrical design. The role requires collaboration with project teams and clients to ensure effective design of power distribution, lighting, telecom, and fire alarm systems. Your expertise will contribute to improving quality of life through sustainable solutions.

Requirements

  • BS in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering.
  • Consulting engineering design experience producing IFC drawings for data centers.
  • State-issued professional engineering license preferred.
  • Understanding of telecom and fire alarm design including prescriptive and performance-based design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
  • Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys and data collection.
  • Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
  • Perform various system studies including arc flash, load, and short circuit coordination.
