Job description

The Principal Engineering Manager role at Microsoft Security focuses on setting the technical direction for securing the platform and customers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow the engineering team by hiring, developing, and retaining high-caliber engineers.
  • Set the technical and product direction for delivering secure systems.
  • Establish design, testing, and shipping protocols for AI that must be correct, explainable, and reversible.
  • Create a team culture where reliability, security, and operational excellence are prioritized.
  • Represent the team's work to leadership and customers.
  • Shape the roadmap with partners and executives and incorporate feedback into planning.
