The AWS Security team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its US ADC Security Engineering team. This role focuses on developing tools and automation for Amazon Dedicated Clouds and Cleared Programs while ensuring the security and health of critical services. Candidates must be US Citizens with an active Top Secret security clearance.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#
• A US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks

• Own integrations with enterprise and commodity hardware through various protocols
• Build extensible management tooling that enhances customer experience
• Produce infrastructure as code and robust operational monitoring
• Keep the deployment process automated and well tested
• Design and develop high-availability distributed software focusing on security and scalability
• Build and integrate custom APIs and middleware for security system integration
• Develop automation frameworks for infrastructure as code deployment
• Build monitoring and alerting systems to track service health and security
• Implement secure communication and authentication between distributed systems
• Contribute to technical design reviews and security architecture discussions
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews
• Partner with internal customers to understand operational challenges and deliver solutions
