Job description

As an Android Engineer on the Money Experience team at Robinhood, you will focus on building and enhancing the customer-facing money movement features within the app. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies to solve significant financial challenges. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality Android experiences. The position requires in-person attendance at the Menlo Park, CA office at least three days a week.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer Android applications at scale, preferably in Kotlin and Compose.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and Jetpack.
  • Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Designers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for solving technical challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; equivalent training or work experience also acceptable.

  • Work with a fast-growing team to revolutionize finance at speed and scale.
  • Build smooth, stable, and elegant products with Kotlin and the newest Android APIs.
  • Own features from inception to design, implementation, and launch.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Developers, and Data teams.
  • Utilize Kotlin, Android SDK & Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (preferred) OR RxJava, and Retrofit & Room.
