The Senior Specialist, Model Validation & Analytics at Robinhood will play a crucial role in enhancing the Financial Crimes Program by validating and optimizing transaction monitoring and filtering systems. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including AML Surveillance and engineering, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role emphasizes the use of advanced analytics and innovative technologies to combat financial crimes. • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative, technical, or financial field.
• 5+ years of experience across AML, Financial Crimes, or risk management within the financial services or fintech industry.
• 3+ years of direct experience in the verification, validation, testing, or tuning of AML rule-based systems and/or machine learning models.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience using quantitative tools or programming languages such as Python or R.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Perform independent, rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses of financial crimes surveillance models.
• Act as a technical bridge by collaborating with software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists.
• Execute effective tuning methodologies and statistical analyses to enhance surveillance models.
• Conduct comprehensive data validation and logic testing initiatives.
• Serve as a knowledgeable subject matter resource in AML and Model Risk.
• Build strong working partnerships across engineering, product, and compliance teams.
• Uphold change and issue management policies for covered systems and models.
• Leverage AI tools and automation techniques to enhance productivity and optimize workflows.
• Author thorough validation reports and documentation for key stakeholders.
