Job description
Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Build team, focusing on transforming AI-built prototypes into enterprise-grade services. The team emphasizes high performance and ethical standards while tackling significant financial challenges. This role involves working closely with various business units to ensure that prototypes are effectively developed into reliable software. In-person attendance is expected at least three days a week in the Menlo Park, CA office.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and running production backend or full-stack systems.
- Hands-on cloud depth, preferably with GCP, including containerized services and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated AI-native development experience, including building LLM-powered applications.
- Strong product sense and ability to scope projects effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills with non-engineers, particularly in finance, legal, or HR.
- Experience in highly regulated industries, particularly finance or fintech, is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess prototypes from across the company and make technical decisions on their development.
- Design, build, and ship services on Robinhood's enterprise platforms.
- Drive AI-native development by managing agents through assessment and production processes.
- Collaborate directly with business units to translate workflows into adoptable software.
- Deliver operational handoffs including runbooks, evaluations, and dashboards.
- Establish reusable patterns with the Enterprise Platforms team to enhance efficiency.
- Raise the bar on engineering quality through rigorous review of AI-generated code.
