The Staff Software Developer will lead the strategy and execution of Robinhood's core developer infrastructure, focusing on build systems, CI pipelines, and remote development environments. This role is part of the DevX team, which aims to enhance engineering productivity by eliminating developer friction. The position requires collaboration with various engineering teams to set new standards for efficiency and reliability. The role is based in Toronto, ON, with an expectation of in-person attendance at least three days a week.

• Extensive experience designing, scaling, and operating critical developer infrastructure or high-volume build/CI systems in production environments.
• Deep subject-matter expertise in modern build systems such as Bazel and distributed or remote build execution.
• Strong programming proficiency in Go or Python, with a track record of building reliable, maintainable system software.
• Proven ability to guide complex technical initiatives from conception to completion.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
