Job description

This role at Esri focuses on enhancing web services to support customer workflows within ArcGIS Hub. The position involves collaborating with customers, leadership, and development teams to translate requirements into functional user stories. The individual will also maintain performance dashboards and a product backlog while organizing communication around development and release plans. This role requires close collaboration with engineers and product management to publish best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience working with ArcGIS applications or other GIS technology
  • Experience working with ArcGIS technologies, including REST APIs
  • Experience working with web services and APIs, including RESTful services
  • Advanced communication and storytelling skillsets
  • Intermediate project management skillsets
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of cloud-native web service architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Science, or another related field

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, leadership, and your development team to identify requirements and translate them into functional user stories.
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards to evaluate service usage to inform product objectives and development priorities.
  • Maintain a Product Backlog of user stories and defects, and work with your team to refine and plan these items for development.
  • Organize and communicate development and release plans to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product engineering writers and product management to publish best practices through tutorials, blog articles, and conference presentations.
  • Validate and triage enhancement and defect requests in collaboration with Esri Support Services.
