The Sr. Cloud Automation Engineer will be part of the ArcGIS Enterprise team at Esri, focusing on enhancing automation tools for cloud and Kubernetes environments. This role involves collaborating with software developers and product engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable, and user-centered automation technology. The engineer will evaluate and improve the performance and scalability of Esri’s cloud automation solutions while staying updated on emerging cloud technologies. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.

• 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, or automating solutions in AWS and/or Azure, with deep understanding of core cloud services such as compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring.
• Proven experience with infrastructure automation, including architecting and maintaining automated deployments for cloud-native and containerized applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and support teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot distributed systems, APIs, and deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting or configuration management tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
