The Engineering Manager at Databricks will lead a team focused on developing a next-generation low-latency, multi-tenanted, cloud-native data warehousing system. This role involves managing a highly available service in the cloud and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. The manager will also be responsible for hiring strong engineering talent and participating in technical discussions related to cloud-native database systems. This position plays a key role in defining the product and engineering roadmap while partnering with other leaders in the organization.

• 5+ years of experience working in database systems, data processing, or related domains.
• Experience building highly available cloud services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience defining and meeting SLOs for highly available systems.
• Ability to attract and hire engineers who meet Databricks hiring standards.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with product management and partners.
