Job description

Esri’s Professional Services is seeking a full stack developer with a front-end focus to enhance a suite of GIS software products. The role involves crafting high-performance user interfaces that simplify complex spatial and real-time data. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver scalable solutions using ArcGIS. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating user-centric applications that improve engagement with spatial intelligence across various industries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with an emphasis on front-end engineering and building user-centric web applications.
  • Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript, with extensive experience in frameworks such as React.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniques across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
  • Proven experience with common design patterns and front-end architecture principles.
  • Proficient in SQL query syntax and interacting with common RDBMS systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM field.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive user interfaces using frameworks like React.
  • Create clear, interactive visualizations and intuitive UI components.
  • Collaborate across the stack to define efficient APIs and data models.
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, and participate in peer reviews.
  • Partner with UX designers and product engineers to implement user-centric features.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative development cycles.
  • Work closely with product engineers to identify and resolve software issues.
  • Mentor junior front-end developers and share knowledge.
