As a Data Scientist on the Data Team at Databricks, you will play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture by addressing product and business challenges. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to analyze product usage patterns and trends, enabling data-driven decision-making. The team also acts as an in-house customer, providing insights that shape the future direction of Databricks' products. Your work will involve mentoring other data scientists and building internal data products to simplify data access within the company.

• Experience in applying Data Science or Machine Learning in production to build data-driven products.
• Familiarity with Product Analytics, including customer and user behavior analysis.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders from various business functions.
• Strong coding skills in general-purpose languages like Scala or Python.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using tools like R and Python.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems like Spark and Hadoop, and proficiency in SQL.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.

• Shape the direction of key data science areas such as usage forecasting and product analytics.
• Work closely with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success to understand product usage patterns.
• Manage stakeholder requirements, define project OKRs and milestones, and communicate progress.
• Mentor and guide data scientists on project planning, technical decisions, and code reviews.
• Build self-serving internal data products to simplify data access within the company.
